Big Toddle for Milnrow
Date published: 21 June 2009
Parents and children from Moorhouse Children’s Centre will be keeping fit, healthy and safe this week by taking part in the Big Toddle in aid of Barnados. Families will be sponsored for their walk from the centre to Staneybrook Park where they will be rewarded for their efforts with a picnic. Jackie Hogg from the Road Safety Team will also be coming along for a chat to highlight national Child Safety Week: 22 – 28 June.
Barbara Mulcahy, Parent Empowerment Worker at Moorhouse Children’s Centre said: "Walking is an easy way to keep fit and healthy. The big toddle is a great opportunity for a family day out, to have fun and enjoy a picnic together while raising money for a worthwhile cause."
Barnardo’s Big Toddle is the UK’s biggest charity event for children under 5 years old.
All are welcome to join in with the walk, which will take place on Friday 26 June from 11am – 1pm.
To find out more about this or any other of the events that Moorhouse Children’s Centre offer throughout the week, please call the centre directly on 01706 837480.
