Balderstone School Prom

Date published: 12 June 2009

Balderstone School students celebrated the end of school with the now traditional 'prom' tonight (Friday 12 June), this year held at the Heaton Park Orangery.

Some students arrived in style clubbing together to book limousines, and one group of girls even hired a fire engine!

Talking to Rochdale Online, Leah Hughes said: "I didn't have the best time in school, and I wasn't going to come to the prom, but Miss Granzla talked me into it and I'm glad she did.

"I don't know what grades to expect but I know I want a career looking after children."

Ben Reeves said: "I'm sad to leave school because I liked it.

Mr Goodall was the best teacher, we'll all remember him.

I can't wait to get a job in catering; I want to be a chef."

Head of Year, Karen Scholes said: "I've only been head of year for three months, since Bill Goodall took ill, but they're great pupils with great prospects."
