Frock shop dressed for success
Date published: 12 June 2009
The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Keith Swift, welcomed another flourishing business which has opened its doors in Castleton today (Friday 12 June).
The Frock Exchange, in the old dentist building on Manchester Road, is an unusual, recession-friendly clothes shop, which will take clothes off customer’s hands and sell them on their behalf.
Musicians from Jazz on a Sunday, including regular Rochdale Online music reviewer Tony Sheldon, came to join in with the friendly, champagne opening ceremony this afternoon.
Owner Linda Haworth says she hopes to be a part of Castleton’s re-growth of businesses and shops.
She said: “This is the first time I have opened anything like this and I am excited to be doing it.”
The Mayor, Councillor Keith Swift said: “It is wonderful to see businesses opening up in Castleton and I’m sure it will be a great success.”
