Please Miss, can I be a police officer?
Date published: 12 June 2009
Pupils at Deeplish Primary School got a real taste of what it is like to be a hardworking police officer.
A team of Police Constables popped into the school this week to chat about what is it like to fight crime, and to raise awareness for this week’s Tackling Drugs, Changing Lives week.
Keen pupils engaged in a question and answer session, and were even lucky enough to try on some on the police hats.
This week is national Tackling Drugs, Changing Lives week, and officers are working hard to crack down on drug crime. Part of this technique is one of prevention, where they will talk to children about the dangers of drugs at an early age.
