Emmerdale star to open new pound shop

A pound shop is going to open in Rochdale town centre on Thursday.
Poundland store will open its doors in the Rochdale Exchange shopping centre, generating 30 new jobs for local people.
Poundland has stores across the country and specialises in household items for £1 each.
Charlie Hardwick, who plays Val Pollard in Emmerdale, will officially open the store at 10am on Saturday (13 June).
