An MEP has said he doesn’t give a “toss” about media coverage because "not one journalist" has bothered reporting during the election campaign on his the work he has done on climate change during his ten years in the European Parliament.
Rochdale Online News phoned Chris Davies, the Lib Dem MEP, for a victorious comment today (Monday 8 June) after he held on to his seat in the European Elections, but instead, he broke into an angry rant about how reporters don’t bother to report on his campaign against climate change.
He said: “I am very frustrated. Ten years I have been in Parliament, and not one single journalist, from any media organisation, has bothered to write about my actual work.
“I couldn’t give a toss now.
He added: “What about the real stories about the work I do on climate change and the environment? You don’t see that in the media at all.”
Chris Davies was re-elected to the European Parliament for another five years as MEP for Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria.
Mr Davies did add that Rochdale Online has given good coverage to his work over the past few years.
