Milnrow Carnival
Date published: 06 June 2009
Hundreds braved the wind and rain to enjoy a busy and cheerful Milnrow Carnival today (Saturday 6 June).
Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Keith Swift, fronted the parade with the Mayoress, Paul Rowen MP, and Councillor Irene Davidson, followed by an array of fancy dress costumes, dancers, floats and decorated cars, from a selection of schools, charities and community organisations.
Crowds lined the streets through the centre of Milnrow, and up towards Hollingworth High School, where a variety of events are ongoing until late afternoon.
