Man dies following traffic collision in Marland

The 38-year-old man from Rochdale who was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry has died in hospital.
The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Rochdale Infirmary. He was later transferred to Fairfield Hospital and then onto the Neurological Unit at Royal Bolton Hospital. He died on Saturday 23 June 2007.
Shortly before 11.30pm on Tuesday 19 June 2007 the lorry was travelling towards Heywood along Bolton Road in Marland when it collided with a man who was crossing the road near to the junction of Eskdale Avenue.
