A man has been hospitalised after crashing his car at high speed in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 24 May).
Fire fighters and an ambulance attended the scene on Milnrow Road at approximately 4.00am, after the driver had lost control of the wheel and smashed into a parked car.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Rochdale Infirmary with head injuries.
A spokesman from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “The driver had lost control of the vehicle as he was coming round a bend, and smashed into a stationary vehicle at the bottom of the road.
“All the air bags inflated, indicating that the impact was strong.”
