Holistic business venture pays off

Date published: 11 May 2009

A thriving new business has arrived in town – and it is just what the doctor ordered.

True Serenity is a professional treatment centre dedicated to holistic wellbeing, with educational workshops and advice as well as natural healing remedies and reflexology.

Expert staff are on hand for anything from a Japanese massage to seated acupressure and colour energy healing.

Situated at the old Rochdale Online offices on Bury Road, True Serenity is close to the town centre.

Therapist and manager Jo Potts hosted an official opening ceremony on Thursday (7 May).

She said: “This is a big business venture for me as I’ve always run as a small entity before. But it is very exciting, and I’m glad to be able to bring business into Rochdale.

“Jane Glaysher-White from Women’s Enterprise has been a massive help in getting things set up and helping out with a business plan, so we just have to see how it goes.”

She added: “There is a common misconception around holistic treatments, that it is often seen as a beauty treatment, and that is not the case. There is a lot more to offer in terms of actual treatments and remedies."
