Author dies, aged 101

An author, who was one of Rochdale’s oldest residents, has passed away aged 101.
Mary Shreeve died at her home on Gypsy Lane on Wednesday (6 May).
Her funeral is to take place on Tuesday at Rochdale Crematorium at 11.50am.
Mary Shreeve was the author of two books, written about Castleton where she had lived for over 70 years.
Rochdale Online News will report on Mrs Shreeve's history on Monday (11 May).
