Arrests made after pub landlord battered

The landlord of the Spring Mill Tavern, 39-year old Billy Kershaw, remains in a critical condition after being found unconscious at the Halifax Road pub.
Two people have been arrested and bailed as part of the police investigation.
At about 1.15pm on Sunday 19 April police were informed that the landlord of the Tavern in Smallbridge, had been found unconscious inside the premises.
The 39-year-old victim was taken to hospital having sustained a serious head injury and remains in a critical condition.
It is believed he was attacked during an attempted robbery.
A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Sunday (26 April) and bailed until 15 June pending further inquiries.
