Step into a career in Health and Social Care
Date published: 24 April 2009
A brand new health and social care course is about to start for parents at Castleton Sure Start Children’s Centre.
The pre-NVQ course is for people with children aged under five who are considering a career in Health and Social Care.
The course will last 10 weeks and there will be a creche provided. It will be run from the centre in conjunction with Hopwood Hall College, taking place every Friday from 10am – 12 noon, beginning next month.
The aim is to provide a taster of the NVQ course and encourage parents into thinking about training and employment options.
It is hoped that parents who are successful after the 10 weeks will move onto the NVQ training in September.
Mums and dads are welcome.
If you are interested and would like more information, you should in the first instance call into Castleton Children’s Centre on Melville St or ring 01706 516310 and ask for Shirley.
