Community heroes to get the royal treatment
Date published: 20 April 2009

The Sandbrook is on the lookout for Rochdale's top teachers, lollipop ladies and sports coaches, amongst others, to be crowned king or queen of the Rochdale community.
Rochdale residents are being asked to nominate their community heroes so that they can be given the royal treatment.
Crown Carvery pub and restaurant, the Sandbrook, on Sandbrook Way, will crown the king or queen of the Rochdale community and offer them a feast fit for royalty.
People can pick up an entry form at the bar or go online and nominate their chosen king or queen with details of why they should be crowned - from longstanding lollipop ladies and marvellous mums to selfless sports coaches and top teachers.
Mike Reeve, manager at the Sandbrook, said: “We are looking for people that go the extra mile to help others so we can turn the tables and treat them for once. There are lots of local heroes to choose from in Rochdale and we will certainly be rolling out the red carpet for the lucky winner, but we need your nominations to find them.
“Our king or queen will be literally crowned and treated like royalty themselves with a feast fit for a king, among friends and family, in the familiar surroundings of their local Crown Carvery."
The winner will be crowned king or queen of the community at the Sandbrook and then compete against other local winners to become king or queen of the North West region.
To make your nomination visit www.crowncarveries.co.uk or pick up an entry form at the bar.
