Police have issued video footage of a little girl’s first birthday in a bid to trace the owners of a suspected stolen video camera.

The video camera was found when officers carried out a search warrant at a house on Mosedale Road, Middleton, on 11 December 2008.

The Samsung SCL810 silver camera was found to contain footage of a little girl celebrating her first birthday.

Officers have been trying to find out who may have owned it, but have not been able to. They have released the footage in the hope someone may recognise the house where the birthday celebrations were taking place.

Police Constable Kathryn Ross, based at Rochdale police station, said: “There is no date on the footage, though it does not look old, and I’m sure anyone who knows this little girl or her family would know the house and the conservatory.

”The footage will be of sentimental value to that family and I’m sure they would like to be reunited with it. If it belongs to you or you know who may have owned this camera, please call us.”

Anyone with information about the camera should call police on 0161 856 1152.
