NHS choice roadshow coming to town

NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) is hosting an NHS Choice Roadshow in the borough from Tuesday 14 to Saturday 18 April so that everyone in the area can find out about the choices they have when it comes to healthcare.

The roadshow events will be taking place at the following locations from 10am-6pm:


Tuesday 14 April

The Butts, Rochdale Town Centre

Heywood Market, York Street, Heywood

Bowlee Sports Park, Windermere Road, Middleton


Wednesday 15 April

The Butts, Rochdale Town Centre

Coach House, Littleborough

Hollingworth Lake Country Park, Rakewood Road, Littleborough


Thursday 16 April

Tesco Rochdale, Silk Street

Heywood Civic Centre, Church Street, Heywood

Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre, Rochdale


Friday 17 April

Tesco Rochdale, Silk Street

Nye Bevan House, Maclure Road, Rochdale

Alkrington Library, Kirkway, Middleton


Saturday 18 April

Middleton Shopping Centre

Somerfield, Dale Street, Milnrow

Mecca Bingo, Smith Street, Rochdale


John Pierce, Chairman at NHS HMR said: “Patients have the right to make informed choices about their healthcare, as outlined in the NHS Constitution.

“We want to make sure that everyone in our borough knows what healthcare choices they have and exactly what services are available for them to use."

Advisers will be on hand to talk about specific healthcare options and answer questions directly. Visitors can also have their blood pressure tested.
