Rochdale is transported into the 3D revolution

A new digital 3D screen has been installed at the Odeon cinema in Rochdale; taking a trip to the local cinema to a whole new dimension.
The cinema will be showing new film Monsters vs. Aliens on the new screen from Friday (3 April).
Armed with a pair of high-tech, polarized 3D glasses, audiences will be able to get up close and personal with an exciting range of 3D releases set to fly into cinemas during the year.
The new state-of-the-art screens will also be bringing alternative such as sports events, popular music concerts, opera and ballet to the big screen.
Richard Wilson, General Manager at Odeon Rochdale said: “The team at ODEON Rochdale is thrilled to be bringing a truly immersive 3D cinema experience to North East of Greater Manchester. 2009 promises to be a hugely exciting year for 3D film – we can’t wait for local film fanatics to experience the state-of-the-art technology for themselves and enjoy this year’s biggest blockbusters in the highest quality possible.”
