13-year-old boy found hanging

A-13-year old boy who was a pupil at Oulder Hill Community High School has been found hanging in Greave.
Police officers attended Greave Avenue at midday today (Friday 27 March) after reports that the teenager had committed suicide at his family home.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, told Rochdale Online: "This is a friendly estate, I can't believe this has happened. My daughter played football with him at school and he never seemed to have any trouble."
The boy's next of kin have been informed.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said: “Shortly after 12.05pm, on Friday 27 March 2009, police were called to a house on Greave Avenue, Spotland, following reports a boy had been found hanging.
“A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital but died a short time later."
