17-year-old youth stabbed in Heywood

Detectives are appealing for information after a 17-year-old youth was stabbed outside a house party in Heywood.
Shortly before 4.20am on Saturday 18 August 2007 the victim became involved in an altercation outside a house on Starkey Street.
It is believed that between ten to fifteen people were involved in the skirmish.
The 17-year-old was subsequently stabbed in the chest and back.
As he tried to leave the scene of the attack he was chased along Walton Street by four men, at least one of them armed with a knife.
He managed to get away from them and run to safety.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was on Walton Street in Heywood at the relevant time and who may have seen the men running after the victim.
The 17-year-old remains in a stable condition in hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
