Ambitious firefighters are today flying out to China to embark on a 10-day charity adventure.
Ian Bailey, Steve Parkinson and Brian Wiggans from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service will be flying out of Manchester Airport this afternoon and will trek along the Great Wall of China, in honour of fire fighter, Steve Morris, who was severely burnt in a house fire last year.
The crew will be trekking for up to nine hours a day to earn the sponsorship, on various sections of the wall at different locations in the area.
Some of the sections of the trek are in mountainous regions where there are unmade sections of wall that require scrambling over.
