Police hunt malicious tyre-slasher
Date published: 24 March 2009
Police are hunting a malicious tyre-slasher after 60 cars were targeted over the weekend.
Officers say the large number of vehicles had their wheels slashed after a vandalism spree on Friday night, spreading through Church Street, Victoria Street, Albert Street, Union Street and Milner Street, in Whitworth.
It is believed that the person involved also played a part in an assault at a nearby bar.
Residents have suffered thousands of pounds worth of damage as a result.
Anyone with information on the spree is being urged to contact Lancashire Police on 0845 125 35 45.
