Emmerdale actor faces assault charges

An Emmerdale actor who lives in Heywood has been accused of assault.
Luke Tittensor, of Rycroft Avenue, who plays Daz Eden in the ITV soap, has been accused of punching another man during a fight in Rochdale in February last year.
Tittensor, 19, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and could be sentenced for up to five years for the offence.
The actor has been in Emmerdale since 2003 and has also appeared in Channel Four drama Shameless as the character Carl Gallagher.
Tittensor has been bailed to appear for trial at Bolton Crown Court at a later date.
