Gunman blasts house with man inside

Police are hunting a gunman who blasted a house with a shotgun on Saturday (7 March).

The man, believed to have been wearing a hooded top, aimed two shots at a detached house on Juniper Drive, Firgrove through a window and a door, where a man was sitting inside.

The man who was in the house was not harmed in the incident.

Police have indicated that the gunman may have targeted the wrong house, and his motive remains unclear.

A description has been issued of the man, who is described as 6ft, wearing a black and white hooded top and dark bottoms, with his face covered by a hood.

A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police confirmed they are hunting down the gunman. He said: “We first attended an attempted robbery at the address and found what we relate to be gunshot damages to the window and door. Investigations are ongoing”.
