Blaze at disused school building

Firefighters tackle the blaze at the former Langley school on Thirlmere Drive.
Four fire crews tackled a large blaze at a disused school building in Langley on Thursday morning (12 March).
A local resident reported seeing large plumes of smoke coming from the former Langley Primary School at around 6am.
Thirty fire fighters from Blackley, Heywood, Bury and Hyde were needed to tackle the blaze after it had spread throughout the ground floor of the derelict building.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used jets to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate and fire investigation is being carried out.
