Teen admits nightclub killing (Heywood)

Guilty: Neil McNulty admitted to the manslaughter of a 27-year-old mother who was out with friends in December last year
A teenager has admitted killing a mother-of-three in a Heywood nightclub.
Neil McNulty, 19 has today, (Tuesday 17 March 2009), pleaded guilty to striking Emma O’Kane with a glass bottle on Saturday 27 December 2008 when she was out at the Queen Anne Hotel, Market Street.
Appearing at Manchester Crown Court Crown he admitted to the manslaughter of the 27-year-old mother.
Emma was a barmaid in the pub, but was off-duty at the time and had been out celebrating her partner's birthday.
McNulty threw the glass bottle after being refused entry into the pub by a doorman.
A post mortem examination concluded Emma died as a result of a wound to the neck.
McNulty will be sentenced on Tuesday 7 April 2009.
