Boy in hospital after Middleton crash

A 15-year old boy is in hospital after he was hit by a car in Middleton on Friday morning (14 November).
The boy suffered a serious head injury in the crash on Grimshaw Lane, near to the junction with Haslam Street
A 15-year old girl was also knocked down in the collision with a Volkswagen Golf and suffered minor injuries.
The boy's injuries are not believed to be life threatening and he is currently in a stable condition.
The driver was not injured.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the road policing unit on 0161 856 8473.
