More than 5000 residents have spoken up about future health plans as part of NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale’s largest consultation.
NHS HMR wants to thank everyone who took part in the Speak Up! It’s Your Health consultation that ended on Friday 7 November.
Four public events were held in Middleton, Rochdale, Heywood and Littleborough in September and October, where more than 300 face to face interviews were carried out and 30 residents left their feedback through a video diary room.
The consultation gave people the chance to have their say on health plans over the next five years, on various areas including lifestyle, mental health, GP services, hospital care and dental care.
Thousands of consultation booklets have been delivered to residents aged 16 and over and registered with a GP. Booklets were also handed out to the public at various events and meetings and people had the opportunity to submit their feedback online.
Denise Dawson, Patient Experience Manager at NHS HMR said: “This is a tremendous response and I’d like to thank the people of Rochdale for taking the time to give us their opinions. We really want to ensure our plans reflect the views and opinions of our local population, and to develop our services in line with what patients are telling us.
“All the feedback we have received is currently being processed and analysed, this information will then be used to influence our future plans. We will be reporting back to you very soon with a summary of the feedback.”
The free prize draw will take place on 28 November and winners will be notified within 14 working days.
