RBH tenant board member retires

Date published: 21 September 2007

Tenants’ Champion, Keith Gordon, is retiring from the board of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing having served as a Tenant Board Member since the company's formation as an Arms Length Management Organisation in 2002.

Having initially been selected in 2002 by Rochdale Federation of Tenant and Resident Organisations (RoFTRA) to serve as a Heywood member of the inaugural board, Keith was successful in the elections held amongst the tenants of Heywood in 2004.  His current term of office comes to an end in September 2007 and Mr Gordon decided that he would not seek re-election.

During his time on the board Keith worked unceasingly for the good of all council tenants across the borough but was always the first to champion causes which were dear to the hearts of the tenants and residents of Heywood.

Gill Walch, RBH Chairwoman, said:  "All his colleagues on the board will miss Keith and his dry wit and everyone at RBH would like to thank him for the huge contribution he has made to the success of the organisation and to the ongoing improvements to the estates and neighbourhoods across Rochdale".
