National award for Rochdale hair stylist

A multiple award-winning hair stylist from Rochdale has spoken of his joy after receiving a prestigious national award.

Mohammed Ilmaas, owner of Hair by Ilmaas, was honoured with the ‘Best Hair Stylist’ award at the Pakistani Music and Media Awards on the May Bank Holiday.

The awards, which cover all aspects of creative work, recognised Ilmaas for his outstanding work in bespoke hair design. He competed against other leading hair stylists and stood out for his innovative approach and exceptional skill.

Ilmaas, from Rochdale, said his 16-year journey in the hairstyling industry has been marked by a relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence.

 

 

Known for his unique ability to blend traditional techniques with contemporary styles, the 36-year-old has a reputation for transforming hair into works of art. Ilmaas has worked with numerous celebrities, fashion shows, and high-profile events internationally, consistently pushing the boundaries of hairstyling.

Ilmaas told Rochdale Online News: “I am incredibly honoured and humbled to receive the Best Hairstylist 2024 award.

The Pakistani Music and Media Awards, is an event to celebrate the achievements of professionals across the entertainment and media sectors, hosted a glamorous ceremony at the iconic Symphony Hall, saw luminaries from various fields come together to honour outstanding contributions and accomplishments.
