Champness Hall is the venue for the High Level fundraiser
Local service High Level (Northern) Trust, which provides support for those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, is organising a concert to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The event, which is due to take place at Champness Hall on 21 June, will raise funds for the charity, which has helped thousands of local people to get into recovery over the last two decades.
Taking to the stage will be Freddie Mercury tribute act Joey Lindon, DJ Paddy Holden and vocalist Shane Doyle, all of which have agreed to either play for free or for a discounted rate, to help support the cause.
To be able to carry out its important work, High Level (Northern) Trust currently receives funding from the local authority, the National Lottery Community Fund, National Lottery Know Your Neighbour, Henry Smith Foundation, Lloyds Bank Foundation and Garfield Weston.
They have just been successful in receiving further funding from National Lottery Awards for All, Eleanor Peel Foundation and Screwfix Foundation to improve their facilities and buy new equipment to further enhance their premises.
The service is free for the people who use it and provides a safe and confidential space where holistic treatments, groups and psychosocial interventions take place.
CEO Callum Jones told Rochdale Online how the upcoming event is a great way to celebrate their success, and for people to come and support the charity with a great night out.
He said: “Over the years High Level (Northern) Trust has helped in excess of 4,000 individuals in their recovery journeys which in turn helps to reduce the pressure on local services such as the NHS, Doctors surgeries, police and ambulance services.
“The service is free for the people who use it and provides a safe and confidential space where holistic treatments, groups and psychosocial interventions take place."
He added: “The event will be a fantastic way to finally celebrate our 20 year anniversary. We’ve got some brilliant acts on and it’s going to be a great night."
