Six men charged in connection with child exploitation investigation

The six men were arrested in raids on Wednesday morning by Rochdale’s Challenger organised crime team
Six men have each been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, one count of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, and four counts of modern slavery charges.
They have all been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court later today (Thursday 25 April).
All six men live in Rochdale: Azaad Ali, 26, Harris Ali, 18, Aadam Ali Sajjad, 18, Abdullah Talib, 19, Subhan Khan, 18 and Zain Abbas, 18.
The six men were arrested on Wednesday morning (24 April) in response to safeguarding concerns after a teenage boy was identified by police as ‘being exploited and coerced into drug dealing by a suspected local gang’.
As the investigation developed, further victims were identified, including a vulnerable adult whose house was being cuckooed and used as a stash house for the gang.
£30,000 cash was seized along with cannabis and drugs paraphernalia.
