Woman killed in road traffic collision on Featherstall Road

A 29-year-old woman has died after a road traffic collision this morning, Saturday 27 October 2007.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 8.25am on Featherstall Road, Littleborough.
A grey Toyota Corolla was driving down the road when it was in collision with two parked vehicles.
The driver of the Corolla continued to drive for a short distance before stopping the car.
The passenger of the Corolla died at the scene.
No one else was injured.
Featherstall Road is closed from the junction with Butterworth Street to Smithy Bridge Road.

A 31-year-old man from Rochdale has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of excess alcohol. He remains in police custody.
