The stolen trailer and dumper
A stolen trailer and dumper truck have been recovered in Littleborough after a police sting.
Police intercepted a silver Kia towing the trailer during the early hours of the morning on Wednesday (22 February).
It transpired the trailer and Mecalac TA1 dumper had been stolen from Lancashire.
The stolen property has been recovered and the car’s occupants arrested.
Posting on Twitter, traffic police said: “Occupants of this Kia stole a trailer and Mecalac TA1 dumper from @LancsPolice force area early this morning. Intercepted and stung in Littleborough @GMPRochdale by ourselves, TVIU and @GMPDogs, with one detained by PD [police dog] Kyp. Now en route to custody and stolen property recovered.”
