Pupils at Whittaker Moss Primary School have collected thousands of used batteries as part of the Duracell Big Battery Hunt.
The Big Battery Hunt is a nationwide programme to help educate and inspire young people to recycle more used batteries.
Led by the school’s eco council, students collected over 5,000 used batteries over two weeks.
Classes 1W and 6M collected the most batteries and received prizes from the school eco reps.
Some of the eco reps accompanied deputy headteacher Sarah Cadogan and the school's pastoral lead Mrs Beswick to the local branch of Curry’s to deliver the batteries for recycling.
