Make your nomination for this year's Woman of Rochdale

Date published: 14 February 2023

Springhill Hospice’s prestigious Woman of Rochdale luncheon will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, honouring the extraordinary women in Rochdale, and highlighting their exceptional contribution to the community.

In 2022, Sarah Fitchett was crowned the Woman of Rochdale for her outstanding charity work and contribution to Papyrus UK; a national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. After losing her son, Ben, to suicide, Sarah has been raising awareness and sharing her story to help others in similar situations. As a family, with her husband and Ben’s twin Sam, they have raised thousands of pounds for charity, all in memory of Ben.

The Woman of Rochdale Luncheon will return on Friday 28 April 2023 at Rochdale Golf Club, proudly sponsored by Mike Goldrick Blinds and Curtains.

Vicki Murray from Springhill Hospice said “I’m very excited that this year will be the 30th Anniversary of the Women of Rochdale luncheon, and I’m looking forward to seeing who will be crowned the Woman of Rochdale in this milestone year.”
