Boy, 10, taken to hospital after collision in Milnrow

A 10-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a collision on Newhey Road in Milnrow on Tuesday evening (7 February).
The boy was hit by a vehicle near the John Milne and the Free Trade Tavern at around 6.50pm.
His injuries are not deemed to be life-changing or threatening, and the driver remained at the scene.
A spokesperson for the police said: “At around 6.50pm yesterday evening, emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Newhey Road in Milnrow.
“Emergency services attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital where it has been confirmed they do not have life-threatening injuries.
“The driver remained at the scene to assist with officer enquiries.”
