New trustees wanted at Rochdale Connections Trust

Local charity Rochdale Connections Trust is in need of new trustees on its board.

Rochdale Connections Trust delivers a range of domestic violence and abuse programmes, along with support and interventions for those who are deemed to be at risk: survivors; male perpetrators of abuse; and the children and young people who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic violence and abuse in the family home.

This is in addition an extensive range of programmes concerned with youth support to prevent disengagement; family focused sessions including parenting, healthy relationships, cooking healthy meals and budgeting; community-based befriending and social isolation group support sessions; care leavers; and an in-house counselling service.

The charity is looking for individuals with a proven track record of leadership who have either:

  • lived experience of domestic abuse and want to take the first step in becoming involved in the governance of a charity.
  • expertise in one or more of the following areas: finance and accountancy, fundraising, HR and management, governance, strategic planning, marketing, public relations and social media.
