Local businesses support Springhill Hospice with 52 weeks of food and drinks scheme

Date published: 17 January 2023

Springhill Hospice has launched an exciting new scheme to kick off 2023 and encourage local businesses within the borough of Rochdale to get involved with fundraising.

Each week in 2023, a different venue will support Springhill, by asking customers to add just £1 onto their total bill, to be donated back to the hospice.

Jo Ali, events and projects fundraiser at the hospice, said: “We are really excited to be working with some of the best food and drink venues in the Rochdale borough, in an innovative way for 2023. An option to give £1 per restaurant bill is a really accessible and easy way for people to support Springhill Hospice. We hope the donations over the 52 weeks and throughout 2023 will add up to raise vital funds for the hospice. It’s a great excuse to try some of the delicious food and drink venues we are lucky to have in the Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton area!”

Each hospitality venue involved in the 52 weeks of food and drink scheme will receive a pack with posters and cards, to inform customers they are supporting the hospice; as well as a mention on all Springhill’s social media platforms - which accumulates to a reach of over 14,000 followers.

If you are a venue who would like to support Springhill Hospice and join in the 52 weeks of food and drink scheme, please contact the fundraising office on 01706 641790 or email fundraising@springhil.org.uk
