Rochdale: temporary local road closures and restrictions
Area: Rochdale
Reason: To allow essential building works on the park wall.
Expected start and finish: Monday 26 February 2022 – Friday 10 February 2023.
Restriction and location: Temporary prohibition of parking at any time on a part of the south side of Nelson Street. This will be enforced from a point 9 metres north west of its junction with Church Lane for a distance of 56 metres in a westerly direction.
Alternative route: Not applicable.

Reason: To install new car charging facilities in the car park area.
Expected start and finish: 8am - 6pm from Friday 28 October 2022 - Friday 11 November 2022.
Restriction and location: Temporarily suspend parking and loading at any time on the east side of Whitehall Street from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Rope Street. The restriction will be indicated by cones placed on the highway.

- Fieldhouse Road on the southside only for its entire legnth.

- Clement Royds Street from the northerly side of its junction with Spotland Road to a point 20 metres in a northerly direction.
Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site.

Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be Lilac Road, Friars Crescent and Hill Top Road.

Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles is Shawfield Lane, Edenfield Road and Woodhouse Lane.

Alternative route: The alternative route for traffic will be George Street, Entwisle Road and Nile Street.

Alternative route: The alternative route for traffic will be Hill Top Drive, Hogarth Road and Balderstone Road. Pedestrian access will not be affected.

- The closure of Edenfield Road will be operative from 6pm–6.45pm, Saturday, 3 December 2022.

- The suspension of loading and waiting at any time on Edenfield Road will be operative from 6pm–6.45pm.

- Temporary closure of Edenfield Road, from its junction with Hutchinson Road to a point 345 metres in a south easterly direction. Waiting or loading will be prohibited in this area during the times specified on this page.
- Temporary closure of Trinity Street, for its entire length. Waiting or loading will be prohibited in this area during the time times specified on this page.
- Temporary closure of Clapgate Road, for its entire length. Waiting or loading will be prohibited in this area during the time times specified on this page.

Reason: To allow the safe delivery of works required for a new housing development.
Expected start and finish: Monday 22 August 2022 – Friday 26 January 2024.
Restriction and location: Temporary closure of Rothay Drive, from its junction with Bonscale Crescent for its entire length.
Alternative route: There is no alternative route for vehicles.

Reason: To install new traffic calming measures in the road.
Expected start and finish: 8am – 6pm each day, Monday 24 October 2022 – Friday 28 October 2022.
Restriction and location: Temporary closure of Baytree Lane for its entire length. The road will be closed in stages and access will be maintained to off-street premises where possible.
Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be Oldham Road (A669) and Mills Hill Road.

- Elmbank Road, from its junction with Monmouth Street for a distance of 40 metres in an easterly direction.
Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be Monmouth Street, Larchview Road, Oakdene Road and Birchwood Road.

Restriction and location: Temporary closure of the following roads:
- Park Road, for its entire length
- Long Street, from its junction with the Assheton Way–Eastway–Long Street–Market Street roundabout to its junction with Manchester New Road
- Manchester New Road, from its junction with Long Street to its junction with the Middleton Way–Oldham Road roundabout
- Middleton Way–Oldham Road roundabout, for its entire circumference
- Middleton Way, both sides for its entire length
- Manchester Old Road–Middleton Way roundabout, for its entire circumference
- Manchester Old Road, from the Manchester Old Road–Middleton Way roundabout to the Garden of Remembrance
Alternative route: Due to the nature and duration of the event, it is not necessary for alternative routes to be in place.

Heywood: temporary local road closures and restrictions
Area: Heywood
Reason: To resurface the carriageway.
Expected start and finish: Monday 19 September 2022 – Sunday 30 October 2022.
Restriction and location: Temporary closure of Garden Street, for its entire length. The road will be closed in sections and we'll maintain access to all on-street and off-street premises where possible.
Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be Bridge Street (A58), George Street and West Starkey Street.

Reason: To repair a damaged sewer within the carriageway.

- The centre lane from a point 15 metres east of the un-named road linking Market Street with Dawson Street for a distance of 39 metres in an easterly direction.
- It will then transfer to the near side lane for a further distance of 35 metres in an easterly direction.
