Castleton Post Office branch to open at Nisa store next month

Date published: 27 October 2022

The Post Office in Castleton will be re-opening in a new location on Friday 25 November.

The new branch at Nisa Local (594 Manchester Road) will be located approximately 500 metres away from the previous branch.

There is a customer carpark at the new premises with designated disabled bays. The new premises has a wide automatic door at the entrance via a ramp with a handrail or step. Internally, there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair. There are also local buses serving the surrounding area.

Customers will access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter.

The same range of products and services will continue to be available.

Chris Clarkson MP whose constituency includes Castleton, has welcomed the return; he said: “I’m really pleased to see Post Office services will be returning to Castleton. Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation and who contacted me about this important issue. It’s great to see local action works.”

The Post Office is welcoming suggestions about specific aspects of the change that might benefit customers, particularly in the following areas:

  • Do you have any comments about access into the new premises?
  • Do you have any comments about access inside the new premises?
