A local artist has just had his first public exhibit take pride of place in Touchstones.

Peter King, who counts the chandelier in Number One Riverside’s children’s library and the ceiling in the former Feel Good Café amongst his work, invented and created a variation on the infinity mirror concept, ‘Ziel’.

Working alongside graffiti artist Lee Pick, the duo created the illusion of an endless space with their unique multidimensional concept, which is best appreciated in the dark.

Peter said: “The infinity mirror is something I knew I could add to and I plan to do much more with. I've also had the idea of collaborations with other local talent. A creative platform, if you like.

“Once I saw Lee Pick’s work I approached him with the idea and how it works. Once he understood, I stood back and let him go with his creative flow. He also does digital graffiti so when I saw that I knew we could work on something."

‘Ziel’ was on display as part of Touchstones’ We Want Your Art campaign.
