The Witch's Bogey!

Date published: 06 March 2008

Parents and children are in for a treat when the award winning People's Theatre Company put on their acclaimed pop musical The Witch's Bogey at Heywood amp; Middleton Civic Centres on 25 and 26 March 2008 at 2.30pm.

The Witch's Bogey is based on an old classic fairytale titled, "Baba Yaga and The Little Girl with the Kind Heart". Baba Yaga is the traditional witch of Russian folk-lore and this story, retold in inimitable fashion by hugely entertaining People's Theatre Company, shows how the malice and cruelty of witchcraft can be overcome by a little magic and, more importantly, a little kindness (which, as we all know, is never to be sneezed at.)

Those who have seen previous productions by The People's Theatre Company can look forward to the same terrific mix of gripping storyline, catchy pop tunes and entertaining characters which appeal to both adults and children alike, while those who haven't yet experienced the mesmerising work of this hugely entertaining company will be in for a wonderful surprise because this is as close as you can get to a taste of the West End musical in your own back yard.

  • Tickets are available from the box office on 01706 368130 for Heywood Civic Centre amp; 0161 643 2470 for Middleton Civic Centre.

    Tickets: Children £6, Adults £7
    Workshops: £3, Family £25
