GCSE results 2021: Matthew Moss “delighted” with fantastic results

Date published: 13 August 2021

After months of hard work, Matthew Moss High School students received their well-earned “fantastic” GCSE exam results on Thursday (12 August).

Headteacher Chris Jennings said: “Congratulations to all MMHS Year 11 students who are receiving their well-earned GCSE results today.

“We are delighted with the composure, agency and empathy that they have displayed during what have been the most challenging two years of study.

“We have seen some fantastic results and learners in science continue to make progress that is well above the expected level, complimenting strong progress in English, maths and history.

“Staff have worked tirelessly with students to prepare them for their next stage of education and I would also like to thank parents for all their support, especially with remote learning as this has made such a vital contribution to the success of our students.

“As our leavers enter the next phase of their education, they have developed strong dispositions to enable them to build on their GCSE success and, on behalf of all members of the MMHS community, I would like to wish them all the best for the future.”
