A Covid vaccine
Extra vaccination clinics are being put in place across Rochdale and Heywood this week as the drive to increase Covid-19 vaccination take-up and stop the spread of the virus continues.
An AstraZeneca clinic is being hosted at Spotland Methodist Church today (Thursday 10 June) between 1pm and 3pm, whilst more Pfizer clinics are being held at Rochdale Infirmary this week, with the first of these happening today between 9.30am and 2pm.
The Spotland Methodist clinic this afternoon (Thursday) is a first dose AstraZeneca vaccine clinic for residents aged 40 and over, or second dose AstraZeneca if you had your first vaccine more than 8 weeks ago.
The Pfizer clinics at the Infirmary are for first doses only, taking place between 9.30am and 2pm on Thursday (10 June) and 9.30am and noon on Friday (11 June) at the outpatients entrance of Rochdale Infirmary (Quarry Street).
Additional Pfizer pop-up clinics will take place at the Phoenix Centre in Heywood on Saturday (12 June) and Number One Riverside in Rochdale on Sunday (13 June).
The Phoenix Centre is open between 9am and 3pm. This is for anyone aged 18 or over who is registered with a Heywood GP. This clinic is for first doses and second doses, if it is more than 8 weeks since your first dose.
Number One Riverside is open between 9am - 2pm and 3pm - 8pm. This is for anyone aged 18 or over who is registered with a Rochdale GP. This clinic is for first doses and second doses, if it is more than 8 weeks since your first dose.
No appointment is needed for any clinic, but you must be registered with a Rochdale GP: you must be registered with a Heywood GP to attend the Phoenix Centre pop-up.
People that are already booked in elsewhere should stick to their existing appointments.
If possible please have your NHS number with you; you can find this at www.nhs.uk and if you are atending any clinic for a second vaccination please take your vaccination card with you.
Details of all pop-up clinics can be found here.
