Funeral fundraiser for Ashley Cullen from Heywood

The family of Ashley Cullen from Heywood who sadly died on 14 May has launched a fundraiser to give him 'the send-off he deserves'.
Ashley, 32, was sadly pronounced dead at an address on Downham Road after police were called to a report of concern for his welfare.
Ashley has been described by friends and family as “down to earth” and “one of life’s special people who would give you his last penny” as well as “a kind, thoughtful, loving lad who had many friends.”
Floral tributes and messages of support have since been left outside his flat.
Other tributes left read:
“Rest peacefully Ash. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met.”
“Ashley was the first person to ask if I needed help with anything. He was such a lovely, kind lad and I’m saddened this has happened. I wish I could have done something to help.”
“A contagious smile and a heart of gold, Ash will be very sadly missed.”
“I will certainly miss him a lot.”
“Rest in peace Ashley. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.”
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called at 9.30am to a report of concern for the welfare of a man at an address on Downham Road, Heywood.
“A 32-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“There aren’t believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner.”
