A small Newhey primary school has received generous donations of essential sanitising equipment from two companies as it prepares to open for select year groups next week (Monday 15 June).
St. Thomas’ C.E Primary School has received wall mounted hand sanitising units and hand sanitiser from local business NHF Cleaning, plus 14 bottles of sterile IPA sanitising spray from Chevron Traffic Management.
The school has remained open during the pandemic for vulnerable children and those whose parents or guardians are key workers, but is now preparing to open for reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children on Monday.
Headteacher Rebecca Williams said: “We are one of the smallest primary schools in Rochdale with a very limited budget. However, two companies have come forward to donate items to support us with reopening for more children. Nick Fielding from NHF Cleaning has paid for wall mounted hand sanitising units and hand sanitiser and Chevron Traffic Management through Morgan Thompson have donated 14 bottles of Sterile IPA sanitising spray to help us keep computing equipment and the offices sanitised.
“The staff and our families would like to say a big thank you to both companies for providing us with essential sanitising equipment that will help to keep us all safe.”
