Rochdale MP Tony Lloyd out of intensive care

Date published: 23 April 2020

Rochdale MP Tony Lloyd has now moved out of intensive care after contracting coronavirus.

In a statement published on Twitter via Councillor Faisal Rana, the Labour MP, 70, said he was doing better after he had been “left literally gasping for air.”

Whilst he remains in hospital, Mr Lloyd added that he was “happy to say I am, and continue to be, on the mend.”

Mr Lloyd was admitted to hospital with COVID-19 earlier this month.
