This is where NHS staff can park for free in the Rochdale borough

Free car parking spaces are being offered to NHS workers in the Rochdale borough.

Online parking marketplace, YourParkingSpace is offering free space at five locations in Rochdale, Heywood, Castleton and Hurstead:

• Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, Castleton
• Dawson Street, Heywood
• Greenfield View, Hurstead
• Kingsway, Rochdale
• Mecca Bingo, Smith Street, Rochdale

To secure the booking, NHS workers will need to visit  www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/nhs-parking and enter their NHS staff email address to receive their free parking code. The code can then be added to accounts, where it will be automatically applied at each checkout for as long as it is valid.

Gary Taylor, General Manager at Mecca Bingo Rochdale, which is offering around 80-100 free spaces, said: “The NHS workers are doing a phenomenal job and we want to show our gratitude and thanks to them by opening up our car parks to those who need it most right now.

“We hope this news will make their journeys both safer and easier over the coming weeks.”
