Northern announces second week of key worker timetables

The services remain for key workers only and the advice to everyone else is still – unless your journey is essential – stay at home
Northern has announced amended timetables designed to keep key workers on the move through the second week of lock-down in the north of England.
Changes have been made to the timetables from Monday 30 March following feedback from key workers and stakeholders – with more services added in some areas to better help people get where they need to be.
The services remain for key workers only and the advice to everyone else is still – unless your journey is essential – stay at home.
A spokesperson for Northern said: “Everyone at Northern is working to provide the best possible rail service during this difficult time, but it is simply not possible to operate our usual timetable.
“We will continue to do all we can to keep key workers on the move and hope you will also continue to play your part by only travelling on Northern services when it is absolutely necessary.”
Where Northern is not able to run trains, the operator will seek to provide rail replacement road transport.
