Man wanted on suspicion of burglary arrested in Rochdale centre

The bottom part of town near Yorkshire Bank and Paddy Power was cordoned off
A 20-year-old man was arrested on Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, yesterday (19 March) after being wanted on suspicion of burglary.
Officers arrested the man, who was also found to be in possession of a knife, at around 1.20pm.
During the arrest, one of the officers sustained a facial injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man remains in custody.
